Hello July!

Hello! I'm back from my blog break. I've been quite occupied with activities these pass few months and it is still continuing. I'm making some decisions to re-focus my attention and energy to what is important to me right now and the coming months, to slow down a little. But first... this :)
NEPAL POSTER
I'm among some of the artists at East West Gallery that are making art and craft to raise fund for Nepal after the April earthquake. Sales from the exhibition will help the families in building new homes that is much needed as the monsoon is arriving soon. So many kind and generous artists contributing and we hope to get good responce from the public. Opening day is this Sunday, 5 July, 2:00 - 4:00pm. I'll be there with other artists to welcome guests.

I'm also having Christmas in July sale in my Etsy shop. All items are 15% off!
Sales runs from 1 July - 19th July (New Zealand time). Many other Etsy shops are also participating and here's the official blog where members are found under one web, I am delighted that I am being featured in one of their latest post.

Here are some of the latest journals I made.
mettaville journal 2
This shibori tie dye journal is bound using coptic binding with green waxed linen thread, with cotton twine wrap closure that I braided.

What's been growing in my garden this winter? Daffodils!

This photo was taken this morning, I planted about 30 bulbs late autumn all around the compound and pot, they are all growing well. I thought they are suppose to bloom in spring?

As for Kiki, she's enjoying herself wherever she is. Life is good for her :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Hello, it's good to see you posting again. Well done with the fundraising, and the journals.
It's also good to see that you planted some bulbs, I did wonder if you had. Some varieties will flower early, especially if you've had a mild winter. Nice picture of Kiki.
Take care, and happy gardening. Flighty xx

    1. Flighty, your flowers in your blog and facebook always inspire me to try if I can grow them in my garden. I also planted some tulips. It has been a rather mild winter, not complaining of course. Happy gardening to you! x
